I liked the uniqueness of Freeline, but it was a challenge to maneuver uphills and grips the floor/ground a little too good, hence, a bit of a pain on the knees.
I liked the Ripstik because it was much easier to learn than Freeline.
Xlider is the best of both worlds! It paid to know how to Freeline, because it took me 5 mins to get used to this.
My cousin (who does Ripstik) took about half an hour to get used to moving forward and basic turning on the Xlider.
The orange, stretchy band that connects both pieces together really helped my cousin learn to Xlide!
But for not-so-beginners, the strap is a bit "restraining."
Xlider gets a bit dirty (footpad) easily since it's made of rubber. But it can be cleaned, no worries!
The castor wheel design helped me with my balance, and gave me a toned ab/thigh/waist! I was doing a workout without even realizing it!
Wear proper protective gears when learning! Especially wrist guards.

We are serving a roller-rink in Germany since ten years now - but the xliders are the most exciting skates we´ve ever had. Both - kids and parents are crazy about these unbelievable skating boards. The youngest rider was five - the oldest 60 years old. Everybody should try them. Thanks to the korean guys who invented this cool stuff ! Wolfgang

They're different....THAT's for sure....but, dont be intimidated...They are FAR easier to ride then they look. Just read the manual and follow the directions, when your going, the key is to kind of do The Twist...turning your ankles left and right and making an S motion....i got frustrated at first, but when i found this concept out, i was gliding around the tennis court in under 15 mins. Now, its been less that 1 day and im able to shread ALL over the place. Another thing is, if your new, i HIGHLY suggest wearing the band to keep them together....take it off when your "Pro"...5 Stars hands down....

They are easy to use since they have a strap that holds them together. Plus they don't break even when you drop them. Also you can put on rollerblade wheels, like liteup wheels. It only took me and my friends a few minutes to make them work and we could skate uphill.

The Xlider

The Xlider is very unique and fun to ride. It's like nothing I have ever rid before. You can take it to the skatepark, parking lot, downhill and uphill. Everywere I go people are like " Thats cool where did you get those" or " Dude those are two seperate pieces! How do you stay on?" They are so different then anything else. I have been skateboarding for over 6 years and ever since I picked up the Xlider I have not touched my board. I tried the ripstick, the waveboards, and the freeline but none of them were for me, I'm stuck on the Xlider. You can ride it anywere; on carpet, in the house, around campus, and you can ride in small confined spaces. With two seperate peices you can ride in a 10x10 area. They allow you to move 360 degrees in all directions. You can also get xtreme with them by adding your own style. I come up with new tricks all the time. The possibilties are endless. They are also realy smooth to ride and virtually unbreakable. Im sure everyone will love riding the Xlider.
