I was absolutely impressed. I am a big man weighing about 315 pounds and needing a size 14 skate.

Rental skates have been a terrible disappoint for me. The last pair I rented had the rear trucks break away from the skates on one of my feet. Poor raggedy rental skates were severely limiting.

These Carrera skates were very comfortable, solid and sturdy, really smooth ride and fast. Having always worn the high ankle boots I was a little concerned about ankle support but the ankle support was great especially with the added straps. I had so much fun finally having a good pair of skates. As I loose the weight and get my legs back in skate form I will really be able to enjoy these skates. I also liked the price point.

I recommend them highly.
