Rollerblade Twister 80 Skates 2011 Men's Urban Inline Skate - Wow this is a nice Skate! Our Rollerblade rep couldn't stop raving to us about this skate, and let me explain why!

1. It comes with a molded shell, in plain English this means the skate is basically made from one piece instead of many small parts sewn together. That means it is super durable, and features a tighter fit than K2's notorious soft boot technology. A tighter fit means more control, as your foot is completely married to the skate. Most of the Male Inline Skaters we deal with in San Francisco prefer this style of boot. They do some gnarly stuff such as curb hopping at pier 39, racing down Market street between cars, and avoiding somebody's Grandma who happens to be crossing the street without looking! If you are engaged in some serious Urban and your boot can't keep up with your moves, you're not going to have a good time!

2. SG7 Bearings - If you've got a serious need for speed then your not going to want standard bearings, you're going to want something that will keep you rolling till the cows come home and SG7 are it. SG7 are near ceramic level of resistance and they can be easily cleaned a year from now after you skate through that puddle.

3. These Skates are, dare I say it, fun! They aren't too bulky like race skates. The wheels are a nice size and they easily go over poor conditions like rocky cement and pebbles without feeling like you are wearing the dreaded "Moon Boots". If you really like Urban/Fitness skating buy these for yourself. You will thank yourself later.

I recently upgraded my Rollerblade Twister 2 Pros to these current skates and I absolutely love how light these Twister 80's are by comparison. I like the design of the outer shell and its very well ventilated. The liners are very comfortable as well.

It has been around 15 years since I skated last. Like most growing up in the 80's/90's I went to the skating rink every weekend @ 8yrs-16yrs old. decided to pass this on to my kids and after the first time back at the rink I got a nostalgic urge to skate again, the Twister 80s just arrived I put them on and off I went like I had never stopped skating. Man did I miss it!!!

Good skates if you have skinny or flat feet! I did enjoy the way these handled, very agile and extremely maneuverable, unfortunately after 30minutes I started to feel pain on top of my feet and base of my ankles! I do have thick/Fat feet and the way these skates are constructed as one piece molded shell, the inner edges sunk in to my feet as I tightened causing extreme discomfort after just 20/30 minutes of skating!

The fit is terrible. I have taken out the spacers, wore 2 pairs of socks, tried it all. All I get is huge blisters. However, the skates are resonsive and I tear up the street like no other. I have a smile on my face but my feet hurt like hell. If you can bear the pain, these skates kick butt! I will run you over!

I use this for general street skating/ non aggressive fitness. These are great skates, they are light and give very good control. Adjustable blade position is a bonus but it worked straight out of the box. There was no need for me to go through a long wear in period. No rub points, immediately gave full control down the hill without sore ankles afterwards. They have a lot more control than K2s due to more lateral rigidity. I can see why some skaters use them for slalom, great control. They look great, like they will last long. If you rocker these you can do slalom, figure tricks in these. Skates.com were great. I ordered, ran out of 2011 skates and due to the wait, got upgraded to 2012 model at no extra cost ... exceeded my expectations...such top customer service is hard if not impossible to find nowadays! I have bought a few skates from this place and they have always been good to deal with. A+++++++
