I'm an adult whose weight ranges from 180lb. to 195lb. I found that the wheels would rub the plate and wear the plate down to a certain point at which I had no further problem. I also replaced the stock bearings with ABEC3 and found this to be a great improvement over the sluggish stock bearings. Other than the initial rubbing on the plates, they have held up well. I've been using them at various rinks about once a week for a year now which has saved me the headache and extra expense of renting. I do not recommend the stock wheels for outdoor use. The wheels are too hard and the grooves do not play nicely with possible grooves in concrete or other rough surfaces.

I am beginning roller derby, and these are good skates to start with until you know if you want to do it or not. You can use them as back up skates or outside where you wouldn't want to mess up your expensive skates that you get later. I don't like it not having a metal plate but it keeps the skate lite. The wheels are pretty good on the indoor and outdoor tracks. This is not a skate for advance derby skaters, but while you are in boot camp or fresh meat then it will work for the few weeks you are in. Another point to this is that this skate can't take a lot of weight and that affects how long it will last you. I weigh 125-130 lbs, and so this is a good beginner skate for me but if you are heavier then you may want to buy a studier skate.

I purchased these skates for my 14 year old son. They were fine, but not even 6 months and we had to replace the stoppers. When we tried to change them, the screws were stripped. Its a good thing that I purchased the extended warranty on them. He likes these skates and not really willing to try another kind, thats the only reason why I'm buying them again. But make sure you purchase the extended warranty. I actually got my money back.

These things lasted all of four sessions of skating before the back wheel assembly just snapped. Broke my ankle in the process. I would NOT recommend these skates to anybody.

The wheeels on these skates suck. They have lines in them that make the roll rough. The overall skates are too heavy and they are uncomfortable. I returned these to exchange for something else.

i got these skates to so i could have some more comfortable ta skate in other than rentals until i saved enough money for beter skates. comfort is tha only good thing about these. they flex under weight. horrible plastic hardware. couldnt get the trucks tight enough. this is a skate is only for starters. toe stop wears really fast. wheels are very slow, do not feel like abec5 more lik 3. i plan to upgrade tha trucks and wheels and bearings.

Hated the skates the first time I used them they were slow and way too much movement in the trucks. Before the next time I tightened the trucks up and found out why they were so slow. The bearings were packed with a thick paste-like grease! Cleaned them out with carb cleaner and oiled them. Wow what a completely different skate
