So far these skates have been great.I was looking for skates that rolled easily on the street. These have worked out fine so far. I ended up buying this skate in mens. I wish that it came in womens.

I would like an option to remove the brake. I like a solid boot with a padded foot liner. I would love a skate that can be used just like putting on a slipper but will have maximum support and durability.

I really like these skates. I use them mainly on the streets, however, I plan to try them out at the roller rink. I was concerned with the larger wheels but they have worked great on the bumpy streets! Thought it was odd that they were shown with white wheels online but came with black. Probably look better now than they would have with white.

There's a reason this brand costs less than other more recognized and established brands.>the bearings are listed as Bevo ABEC 9 but are sealed closed and not able to be cleaned/lubricated.>the insoles are paper thin and worthless.>lower strap should have been velcro like most other models OR they should have better secured the buckle to the plastic molding surrounding the boot. It snapped off after a month. The company's response is to drill out the original rivet and use the new buckle and screws they will send OR ship the skates to them at your expense and they will do the recalled fix and return them to you. It's obviously a design flaw that they are not willing to correct.[...] product shortcomings[...]Save your money for real inline skates.

Unlike the Spartan 8.8, the Spartan 9.9's are awesome. The Spartan 8.8 is super hard on the ankles. Ankle bow outwards. The 9.9's fit great and the wheels align just right. The 90 wheels with abec 9's are fast and I love it. Very easy to accelerate. I was a bit worried about going to the 90's but the learning curve is super minor. The ankle support on this boot is superb. I love these skates. I am a carhop at Sonic and skate everyday, so support is a big issue. These are my favorite skates so far. I have nothing bad to say about them. The one thing one might not like (not a big deal to me) is the weight. They are a bit heavy, but the trade out for the support far out ways any weight issues. I would strongly suggest these to folks with weak ankles or people who want a lot of support. I would have given these a 4.5 but that is not available. Great buy.
