Well, I have had these for a while. The problem with them is that the ankle leans to the outsides and creates serious pain. This to me is a major design flaw. Now, all is not lost. I did a little job on the skates and now they work pretty good. I drilled the frames so I could move the wheels 3/8" toward the outsides. This put the skate in proper balance. Now they are pretty nice and the support is good. I just don't think I should have to do the kind of work I had to do. Now, the 9.9's are awesome out of the box. Great all the way around. I would suggest stepping up and getting the Spartan 9.9. Some may be concerned that you may loose controll going to a 90mm wheel, but don't worry. They are great. 8.8's need some work, but decent once you do this. Maybe my skates were flawed from the factory. I think this may be the case, but I have no way to know. The 9.9's do not have the same problems.
