Gearing up to use QuadLine� Skates in an upcoming marathon, Richard Humphrey found himself tweaking and tuning his Quadlines in ways he hadn't thought of before. He discovered that with only an additional quarter inch adjustment to the trucks they could accommodate the ferocious power of the 100mm wheels at a drastically reduced width. The Wide base of the old style Quadline had provided exceptional support and made cruising over even grates, cracks, and sticks easy as pie, but reducing the width to standard quad levels changed the whole game; Crossovers, sharp turns, and maneuvres of every sort were freed up of any constraint and the speed and dynamic of the 100mm setup only added to what was possible. As a recreational skater I spent many years on Rollerblades plus a year on regular quads and another on the Skorpion strap-ons but these are my favorites.
With practically no break-in I find the boot more comfortable than all of the above.
The comparatively narrow boots and axles of the Streamlines are better at preventing any unwanted contact between the skates.
The high wheels have so far been impervious to debris on the local bike path unlike some of the others.
And after adding TruRev Titan wheels with good grip in wet conditions and Bones Swiss Ceramics bearings I cruise along at about 9mph.

Also very impressed with customer service as Richard himself rushed these to me a day early and substituted the correct brake when I accidentally ordered a spare for the standard width Quadlines.

Note the only punctuation allowed in reviews is periods so sorry if this is hard to read.

Took my new Quads for a spin. The boots are great. No break-in needed and they give great support. The Quads are very fast and easy to control. I like them much more than inline skates for the stability factor alone. Glad I found them.

After 25 years on regular quad skates I bought Streamline Smooths. Although I am not yet as graceful as I was on my old quads, I never use the old skates anymore because the smoother ride and reduced rolling resistance won me over. My ankle has tipped to the side a few times off those great high wheels, but the excellent boot saves me and my ankle is safe. The only disadvantage is that women smile at me less on the Streamlines, perhaps because they are too unusual.
