Excellent Skates August 14, 2010 Reviewer: Mandy Palmer from Williamsburg, MI United States   Bought these for my niece who loves them. I'm a derby skater and tested them. They glide/maneuver well (polished concrete surface). Great entry level skates or nice ride for the skater who wants to take it easy. Wheel size from front to back not noticeable; boots offer nice positioning for skater and are comfortable. My niece's feet are well padded, well supported and stay cool even after hours of skating. Wheels are pretty grippy but offer great acceleration/long glides. Bad bearing in one wheel upon arrival. Manufacturer shipped new bearings within a few days - new bearings were perfect! Only other complaint is positioning of the plate where it cradles the heel. Just in front of the heel is a plastic piece that wraps slightly up the side of the heel that pushes on the arch of the outside foot during turning. Not horrible, but a little annoying after skating for a couple of hours. Hopefully grinding it down will help solve the issue. The sizing is true to shoe size. Was this review helpful to you?
