Quality wheels from radar have enough grip to go outside but shine in the rink as well. The biggest difference is in the bearings; most youth skates have non-precision (sub abec rating) bearings that barely roll. All but the youngest beginners will benefit from the smoother (and faster) abec 5 bearings.
