[*] Skaters have muscular legs.I bought the large and wish they had extra large.Best feature is that you can wear them under loose pants or sweat pants, and no one knows that you are wearing geeky pads. And they work....only had to find that out once...thank you.

Dived into an empty 12ft concrete pool while grinding the coping and busted my knee bad...decided to pick up these pads because the injury wasnt going to stop me from skating. These are awesome...completely discreet nobody knows your rockin them if you got a pair of loose pants on over them...fell onto the knee a few times with them on and never got scraped or cut...watch out for the big bails though you might need a little more protection than this... but regardless you will be a lot better off then without them. After a few sessions you dont even feel like your rockin them because they mold to your knee. A+++

These are great!, however if you have muscular legs like, buy the largest size available, if they are a bit loose just tighten the velcro, i bought medium sized and they feel very tight..

I sized up exactly as instructed by the manufacturer, but they fit so tightly that the seam holing the neoprene liner ripped!! Likewise, the velcro straps barely fit around the upper part of the leg. I'm big, but not obese, so I don't understand why the fit is so off. Not as thin as advertised either, barely fits under jeans, unless wearing really loose pants.

Although these pads are lightweight and well-constructed, the fit isn't as good as I had hoped. Even when fastened properly, there's a lot of shifting. I plan on getting a new pair with a plate and passing these on to my daughter. Definitely not derby-appropriate! Not enough reinforcement to protect the knee in falls.

ONLY WORE A FEW TIMES BEFORE THE SEAM CAME APART ON ONE....BUT I HAVE LARGE KNEE AREA. WAS ON THE HIGH END OF THE SIZE RANGE. MAYBE NEEDED A LARGER SIZE THOUGH AS THEY LOOK TO BE VERY WELL CONSTRUCTED. I WOULD STILL RECOMMEND.
