The skorpion quadline are a unique skate altogether. Its important to watch the dvd guide, it will help to survive the first 10 minutes of the product. Not being an experienced with this type of product I found it difficult to work with. After a few days, I was able to work out comfortably. The speed is there, and if you are not expereince I would recommend finding a way to strategize how to stop. I had someone helping me with the stops. Stopping was challenging and still working on it. It was convieniant to wear personal shoes with it. Shoe will not go anywhere with the skorpions, it is secured. They are heavy, but it just takes some time in getting use to. I get a very good workout with them (garanteed). The speed of these skates are amazing! You surely will fly on the skorpion. I wish the company would have allowed for a real trial peiod on this product. I was told I could return the product, however the skates needed to look like they were not used. In other words it was suggested I use them on a clean surface and then I would be able to return them. I'm not sure how good of a trial period that really is. It is impossible to get a full effect on that type of trial. I guess you can say it was a pricy test.

We bought these for our daughter because she wanted to skate outside. We love them because they can be worn with her own shoes, are adjustable for her growing foot and she can put them on by herself. She has also been able to use them at our local roller rink.

I bought theses because I wanted a skate that I could get in & go and be on the street in a minute. I like the comfort & convenience of using my own shoes also. My inlines take much more effort to get on, and I have to put extra padding in around the ankles for comfort. Another nice thing about these skates is the stability while skating, and if I stop to rest or talk to someone in the neighborhood, my ankles are not fatigued. One thing to be concious of is where you tighten down the straps. They are moveable, so place them where they do not cut into the tops of your toes or your ankle.

Absolutely love the quick latch design and the fact I can wear my own shoes. Takes me longer to get my elbow and wrist pads on than it does to put my skates on. Only downsides are: the pad under the ankle latch needs more padding because the plastic is hard there and can hurt if you don't wear boots. Also if you fall forward and your skates hits the concrete, the plastic buckles and skate itself shred. I have fallen 3 times and the notch to release the top latch is almost gone :(

Okay..well, I have a PitBull puppy *1year old* and she needs running!! I was totally lookin for sumpin just like this!!! They would be the most awesome thing in the whole wide world....BUTTTT... I can not even begin to enjoy them cuz it is impossible to STOP!!! I always used quad speed skates... a I have NOW RELIZED a front stopper is used for more then just stoping, its also there to keep u from rolling forward..exc. If you do get these for walkin ur dog...I would advise grabbin another set of stoppers...IDK why they dont give you ones for the other skate...and if you didnt want them take it off!!!! I also wish I would have gotten the Hi-Lo

Hey, got my Scorpions. Took me about 45 mins to figure out how to skate in them. Very different from traditional quads. I needed to learn to skate like a rollerblader. Once I figured that out..they were great. Awesome for outdoors, and building thigh muscles. They really are stable. My biggest hinderance was me....I am used to dance skating on small wheels so I had to get used to them. I keep them in my car so on the way home from work I throw them on and roll a bit before I get home!!!. Good stuff.

I almost didnt try these due to other peoples feedback. I have not had any of the problems people have listed so far. I love the skates. The use of your own shoes, is great, never had a problem with straps cutting in my ankle or anything like that. I love them and would recommend them. If there was one thing to change, it would be the front straps so you could replace them if needed. But I havent crashed to have that need, yet. There great, so far.

My 7.5 women's shoe just fits on the longest setting but the ankle strap would not fasten so I could not try them out. Other than that they seem great. That's why the 3 rating. Going to get the large size. I choose these over a shoe skate because I have a wide foot thus cannot find ones to fit and I'm not done growing.

I am 70 years old. I used to skate a lot when I was young. Now, I often use in line skates, and I have liked very much these skorpion skates.
