I had a bit of an unfortunate problem initially with these skates. However, the president of Skorpion skates called me personally to discuss my situation. He was absolutely great!, and did a wonderful job to help rectify the matter! After speaking with him at some length, I have a renewed respect for the company....& the skates....and I'm looking forward to getting back out there! These skates are a lot of fun, and they are a definite attention grabber too!!
**IMPORTANT** Make absolutely sure to check that all axle screws are SECURELY TIGHTENED BEFORE you use these skates for the first time!!

Turns out that heavier folks like me (230lbs) overpower the springs on these wonderful skates making them hyper-responsive and way too squirrely. Which kinda takes all the fun out of skating. I did hear back from the President of Skorpion Sports and they are currently considering making stronger springs, but for now....if you're significantly over "normal" weight, you might want to think about another style of Quadline skates. Believe it or not, this is the only negative. Everything else is exactly as advertised, so I'll rate them four (fat :-) stars. I like them enough that I'm keeping my pair and hoping someday that a stronger set of springs will actually become available.

Got my Scorpion quadline and have gone to the rink with them 4 times. They get a lot of attention and keep up well with the other skaters. Really nice strap ons and they turn with no effort. I have used boots and tennis shoes and the boots seem to work better with the added support and weight. I just turned 56 and maby this is a way to feel younger but also learned to wear knee protection. Over all awsome skates and a great value just bought 2 pairs of Scorpies for the grandkids...

these are great for when I need a few small items from the corner grocery stores. I put them on to go get milk for my morning coffee...with my house slippers on!
