I bought these suregrip kneepads for rollerderby, and they are great. They are thick and well-padded, supportive, comfortable and the knee shield fits the knee well. Great protection for kneedrop falls. I like the wetsuit material in them. Alot of my friends in rollerderby, who have bought other brands of knee pads that are uncomfortable and are wearing out, saw my suregrips and now want to get some themselves. Suregrip make great quality gear.

Well, these knee pads were good quality. I put them on and did some trial falls on the kitchen floor and they padded very well. However, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a size chart. My knees measure 33cm around the widest part (straight legs, measuring around knee caps), so I chose 'medium'. Unfortunately they seem a bit on the big size and slop around on my legs, and the hard plastic shields seem to knock into each other when moving (maybe I am a bit knock-kneed). I bought them for ice skating because I am a beginner and had a bad fall on my knee last time. I think these pads - although they will certainly protect my knees - might make me fall all the more because they get in the way of one another. I guess I'll have to give them to a bigger-sized friend.
