My son outgrew his 50 dollar skates that I purchased at a local sporting goods store. While the cheaper skates were good for an 11 year old, and he didn't know anything better out there existed, for a very active skater at 14, the purchase of a better skate was well justified! He waited eagerly every day for these to arrive by mail so that he wouldn't have to wear the rink skates again. When they arrived HE FLEW around the rink, and looked cool doing it! Only one comment and this is from a female who likes slim minimalistic footwear, these skates are thick and look clunky. BUT, the padding is incredible and my son finds them far more comfortable than his previous pair. And as mentioned above, they deliver on speed! My son says he loves them and this is our second week at the rink!
