- 5 stars - Love these skates!

For decades I have wanted skates that I could use for outdoor recreation. I don't compete and don't skate every day. I use my QuadLine Riedells just to have a little activity and some fun. The larger wheels are great! They provide a smoother ride than smaller wheeled skates. I like the narrower wheel base of the Streamline Quads because I feel less clunky, but I still get the stability of four-on-the-floor. Another great feature is the "low cut"; in other words, these are like tennis shoes with wheels. I have never liked tall boots (like with in-line skates) because I feel too constricted. These boots are just right for me. I'm still getting used to the skates, and getting used to skating outside -- something I haven't done in many years -- but my initial take is that I'm delighted with them.

I really like the skate a lot. I'm getting back into skating and I chose this because I am doing mostly street skating. I chose the 90mm because I'm 5'3" and 115ibs and 100mm would be too high, I do almost feel that the 90mm is a tad high for me but I'm working it out! I seem to have no problem skating on these but when it comes time to stop, that is another story. The california back break that comes with this is useless and so is the toe stop. Toe stop is too short for such high wheels and because it is a 5/8 stop you can't use the quadline toe stop which looks like it would do the job. I've just purchased the quadline back beak so I'm really hoping that helps. maybe if you're great at T-stopping then this won't be an issue for you. T-stopping on normal quads are much easier for me but for some reason I'm having major issues mastering it on these quadlines. All that said, this is a cool skate and for me it's fast!

This is not an inline skate. This is not a quad roller skate. It is a hybrid. It's different, it takes some getting used to. It's better than inline but not as good as a roller skate depending on your purpose. The inline wheel is made to skate at an angle and as such create some difficulty in this application. The wheel design needs to be tweeked a bit to flatten it on the bottom. This may help to provide better overall control. The ride is smooth but I experienced substantial loss of control over bumpy surfaces.

what I wanted. quads to use on bike trail. Sure, you look a little [*], but it's better than what you have to tell your dad when you buy rollerblades.

Excellent skate but it is a little heavy for me. I am not very big though 5'5 115 lbs so this may be a factor. The quadline has interchangeable wheels from outdoors, indoors, and artistic, as well as jam skating, speed, and freestyle. The cost is low for such an awesome versatile skate. Just change the wheels and off you go. The 100mm wheel is superfast and a little scary goin down hill because of the speed. The ride is a little smoother than conventional skates but not a whole lot of difference there, better over rocks and gravel though.

- 2 stars - An Interesting Idea...

I wanted to use these skates outside,as our rink closes for summer. The boots were very comfortable. The streamline wheels are narrower than regular quads. The narrow wheelbase made the skates feel less stable. The left skate also had an alignment problem, and pulled to the right. I'm used to figure skates and not comfortable with low riders. Mr. Humphrey was VERY nice and let me return these skates, which I replaced a figure boot(I like a heel), with the wider trucks. Much more comfortable. This type of skate(Streamline or wide truck)is great for the outdoors. They are very fast and roll over everything with ease.

I'm happy with these skates. They roll smoothly and feel fast. I've always been a little wobbly on rollerblades but I love to skate so these quadlines are perfect. The shoe is comfortable and fits really well. I was expecting the boot to be really ugly, but they actually aren't that bad. A couple things I'd change if I could 1) I got the backstop with the skates, but it only came on one boot. I would prefer it on both 2) 90mm wheels + a big frame + a heel on the boot = really tall. It adds 4.5 inches from the bottom of the boot. Would be better if the boot didn't have a heel or the frame wasn't so bulky. Besides those two things though, the skates are great, shoe is comfortable and they are really fun to wear.
