These skates are stiff (plastic) on the ankle and came up to high on the leg for my 11 year old. (maybe she just has big feet for her height!)

I absolutely, without a doubt LOVE these ice skates. I am a recreational skater and I've had these for four/five years now and they've continue to remain comfortable and have great ankle support! Great overall support as well and very easy to skate in, provides smooth skating and comfort!
