What a total piece of junk, disappointed. April 15, 2009 Reviewer:  Joe from Chicago IL   Tested at rink: bearings, while ABEC 9 are total junk, wheels are even worse, can't roll past a grandma even when trying very hard. The boots are not comfortable at all. They are snug, but there is a some sort of metal or hard plastic thingy inside each boot on the outside edge of the boot near where the edge of your foot is, presumably to make it more sturdy. But all it does is press against the edge of your foot, where there is a bone near your smallest toe, and this makes it quite unwearable. Paying over $100 bucks for a pair of skates, I would think they could make the skate a little better but was hugely disappointed (made in china of course). Total nightmare. These skates deserve negative 5 stars. What a horrible disappointment. Truly, the worst purchase I ever made. Heck, rental skates fit much better than these and are more comfortable and are much faster, what a joke. DO NOT GET THESE SKATES, THEY ARE HORRIBLE. TRY IF YOU MUST, BUT YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Nice Starter Skate February 2, 2009 Reviewer: Louie D from Eugene, OR United States   I got these skates as my first pair of indoor quads.... and yes, they are very fast, and very maneuverable.  However, the boots are a bit on the stiff side, and the wheels wear down pretty quickly because they're rather soft. After purchasing some ceramic bearings and Bones Super-Elite 103A wheels, I quickly witnessed the issues with the stock wheels.  Now that I've been skating again for several months, I'm ready to move on up. The boots are not UNcomfortable, just stiff... and if you're looking for a great pair of starter skates that look cool and will get you rolling fast, these are it.  Just be aware that once you get a taste of the higher quality (and more expensive) wheels and boots, you'll know the difference. look cool but aren't worth it May 6, 2007 Reviewer: Anonymous person from Knoxville, TN United States   the boots aren't comfortable.  one of the axles was bent when i got them.  after wearing a couple of times, one of the bearings starting making noises and one of the wheels has a soft or flat spot.   skates.com did nothing to fix the situation.
