I bought these because they were so much less expensive than others I was considering. I was worried they might be poorly made, but they're great! The range of colors is amazing--I was able to get a color that looks terrific with my skates. Strangers actually come up to me at the rink and compliment me on them! The only bad thing, maybe, is that they might be hard to cut. But I don't know for sure. You're supposed to cut them down to the size you need, but I think a box cutter might not do that too easily. Fortunately, they fit my skates right out of the box.

Although there was a chart for measuring the protector against the blade to know where to cut, there were absolutely NO instructions on how to put them together, where to cut if the blade was a child's skate, nor the best way to cut them. I've never skated before, never owned nor worn ice skates, let alone blade protectors. I had to take them into a professional and pay to have them put together, doubling the cost of the item. Had there been instructions on how to cut and put together, I might have been able to do it myself. As it was, it was not worth the trouble.

Overall Bottom Line - not recommended
