  Ive been skating without as brake all my life. I dont need a brake. On previous skates Ive just snapped the brake off and it ended up breaking the skate. Appreciate the timely response..

  This skate is one of the least likely to perform better without a brake but its removable and an extra axle is provided. Bearing upgrade is simpler - ceramics a good choice. .
