I would skate everyday if I could, but weather and 9 to 5 job slows me down, I've been skating on roce' skates for 13 years, because I've been waiting for them or someone else produce hard shell, true hard shell like these, I have to say they run about 1/2 size smaller, but after using shoe trees too stretch them out and I use modified round object for my ankles they are loosing up after 300 miles, after little more than a month they are loosing up, I had nasty blister, but I did with my roce's as well, "new out of the box"; I'm in the groove and they are working but I probably should have bought 11's, too late know. I'll use them, but my toe nails will break if not kept very short, but let me tell you I'm snow skier and I love ankle support these give and for distance and maintain good speed, cross over and practice ski techniques you can't find a better skate. For 47 year man I can run 21 miles every other day if weather permits," none stop 7 miles 1/2 hour", when I get these stretched out the best I can will be up to 28 miles. "Personnel best last year is 5 laps or 35 miles none stop." I'm looking forward too that. I think better, lets see. Thanks dm PS: buy them :- )

- 5 stars - The way all inline skates should be!

I was replacing an old pair of 1990's Bladerunner skates which finally broke. While shopping, I quickly realized that inline skates had changed since the 1990's. My older skates were hard whereas the newer skates were soft and looked line tennis shoes. I am a very athelitic person who exercises constantly. I inline skate as a fun form of additional exercise which does not stress my legs like running. I skate fast, slow, do simple tricks. In other words, I would quickly tear up a pair of tennis shoe skates. So I was very glad when I found the Fusion X7 skates. They mirrored my old school skates. Tough enough to take anything I throw at them. These skates fit the general purpose skate nicely. I can go fast. I can do turns and spins. I can play street hockey. The price seemed high, but I was willing to pay it to get what I wanted. Some people may find the skates to be heavy, but to me that means they are solid which I like. My only complaint is the laces. I could have done without them, but it is not that big of a hassle. Overall, I highly recommend the Fusion X7 for having fun.

One of the things I noticed was that there was only a Velcro strap on the ankles which didn't provide the best support however it was okay

- 4 stars - great skate, not as hard as I hoped

I do like the skate -- its old school, boot type and has a good support with a soft boot. they also perform well - wheels, axle, bearings - nice and good all around. my only beef is I dont like the velcro strap to tighten the support at the calf. To me this is the most important area for the ski-boot type strap. Instead the fusion has the ski-boot strap diagonally at where the foot meets the ankle. Look this gets the job done - but the loose feel at the calf makes the support on the skate a 6 out of 10 -- hard skaters look for the calf clamp instead.... The skate itself is a 9/10 overall and gets dinged for this support thingey.... if you are a bit more casual and not looking for "tight" support for hard/hockey maneuvers - its an awesome skate.

- 5 stars - skate or die!

Awesome skate. I was looking for a versatile and durable skate with preferably a hockey type look with laces. Speed skates lack durability, while aggressive skates lack speed. I would recommend the Fusion X7 and X5 for most uses. It is both fast and maneuverable. The reason I chose the X7 was for a bit more speed with the bigger wheels. But it could be used for general indoor/outdoor recreational purposes or for street hockey. I skated alot when younger (middle school age) and wanted something good for intermediate or advanced use. The only negative to consider is the weight, which is necessary due to the armor provided by the shell. This could be sacrificed, such as with the speed skate styles, but the protection would not be there for outdoor or more aggressive uses such as hockey. It has a simple style but excellent performance. Some of the best products are like this because as with others that are less superior, poor quality is usually hidden by flashy design. You won't be disappointed!

OK, let me be blunt. When you motor around on these fantastic wheels - the ladies take notice. This the the cherry on top because the skates themselves are the whipping cream of a good skate experience. I have flat feet and it took some time to break in these skates but soon they adjusted well and are now my favorite. They also seemed a little heavy at first, but actually improved my stride by correcting the way each leg moves in a parabolic curve for each motion. Overall very happy with these quality built skates - what fun!

I already have Rollerblade Solo Estilo LE 2010,Rollerblade Fusion x5 2010 and 10 days ago i recieved a Rollerblade Fusion x7 2010 which are excellent skates for urban skating and they are really fast and good for ruff surface the only thing is that you are not able to make fast and short turns like when you use 243mm frame skate, with 273mm frame and 90mm wheels you just need more room
