These skates are okay for recreational, however, if looking to buy skates for skating lessons, dance and freestyle for competition I wouldn't reccommend unless you are going into this knowing you are going to have to put some extra cash into it after a short period of time such as higher quality wheels and an all leather booter...However, I am not disappointed in the skate but I kind of wish I would have investigated a bit more and bought something with a little more quality to it that I wouldn't have to invest more into...Supposedly from what I have heard , since this skate is not all leather it will eventually crack on the boot; how true this statement was I don't know as I am just starting out with private lessons...Overall a good skate though..I would defintely reccommend for a recreational skater...You will also in case you don't know much about skate need to have the wheels adjusted and have some action put in them otherwise they will be very tight at first and not roll well..
