This product may be good for a 2 year old, but for anyone over, it is not worth the money. It doesn't glide more than a foot at a time and at a very slow pace (the wheels are very tight and don't spin well. This is supposed to be intentional, according to Razor). This doesn't make a 4 or 5 year old happy, especially when they are expecting to ride a scooter. At this age, the child gives up because they can walk faster than the scooter goes. My daughter pumps and pumps to get going and if she manages to go a foot, as soon as she puts her pumping foot on the "wide plateform" that Razor boasts about, the scooter comes to a complete stop! This is not a scooter to teach a child how to ride and transition to a regular Razor. We bought it because of the Razor name, and unfortunatley, it wasn't the same quality! It's very disappointing and unless your use for a 3-5 year old is just to stand on it to take pictures, don't bother. Age should be 18 months to 2 years. It's very safe for this age group since it moves very slowly.
