The skates are great in general, however one of the screws needed to be tighten as it was loose. So I suggest that you use the tool that comes with the skates to tighten all the screws before the first use.

I bought these skates hoping for a rink experience on outside asphalt, and they deliver! They're fast, have good stability, and handle bumps without skidding. I'm so happy I bought them, and this is the exercise I love that will get me back in shape! By the way, I got the larger 65 mm wheels and I'm glad I did.

Very nice beginner skate for outdoor use. I haven't skated in about 15 years and these were exactly what I was looking for. Boot is vinyl but comfortable and provides good ankle support; also no blisters or hot-spots. I upgraded to the 65mm wheels and the Sure-grip toe stop, both were worth it. Wheels have a smooth glide and work well on paved trails and asphalt. I wear an 8.5 shoe and ordered an 8-- feels about half a size too long but the width is fine; I think a 7 would be too small. I added gel inserts and wear them with cushioned hiking socks and they fit fine. Overall, a good quality skate for a beginner or casual recreational skater.

I use my Chicago rolerskates for fitness purposes. The skates are very stylish and leather-free which is a plus for me. The boot offers excellent ankle support and the wheels provide a smooth glide. The skates also handle bumps and cracks in the pavement very well.

I purchased the Chicago 400 Easy Motion outdoor Skate for my upcoming 1970's Summer Street-Party (43rd B-day). Although I will be historically correct with these beauties, they really rock for exercise. If you're undecided about the wheel and toe-stop upgrade....it's a must. These skates are fast and turn on a dime. I wear primarily a size 9 shoe. However, my athletic shoes and some boots are a size 10. The size 9 skate was a PERFECT fit. Look no further!

I wanted to buy inline skates for my 9 year old granddaughter so she could skate with my husband and me. However, she was freightened to try inline skating and asked for traditional shoeskates that could be used outside. I was slightly leary of buying them online but I took the chance. I was SO pleased! They are just what I needed to start again, they run a little big, usually I am a 7 1/2 or 8, but I read on some reviews they run big and ordered a 7 and they fit perfectly, with a little more room. Im VERY happy with my new roller skates, :) For now Im just triyng to learn again how to stop... :)

I am just starting to learn to skate and have been using these outdoors on asphalt. I upgraded my wheels to make them more equipped for the cracks and such that I have encountered. I love them. I would live in them if possible. They are a bit heavy but I feel it adds to their charm.

I've had these skates for about three weeks and have used them on the street and at a rink. They're great! I would agree with some of the other reviews that they run a bit wide. Since I have a bunion, I need to wear an orthotic in the skate and can fit it in. Normally I have to buy bigger shoes to fit the orthotic. The only thing I would recommend is having a black skate option. When I got to the roller rink, I discovered I was the only one with white skates! Otherwise, I love them!

We got these for everyone in the family to skate with the dogs. WOW ! I cannot believe how well and how fast they skate. This is my first time buying and skating outside, and I had no idea it would be so much like regular skating - only better. I ordered a 6, and I'm a 6.5, but they fit perfectly - so they run a bit bigger than size. We went with the 65mm wheels - super fast and smooth, and go ahead and order extra toe stops - they grind down very fast. Don't forget the pads and helmet, especially if skating with big dogs. I wish they weren't made in China.

Skating on our walking trail and love it! They do great on asphalt but have to be careful on smooth concrete surfaces - very slick. Other reviews said were a little big to size and I didn't heed -they do run a little large, perhaps 1/2 size over. But they're great and that creates no problem.

I wanted a skate to use out doors on a blacktop track. I'm going through stuff, and need to exercise. These skates are perfect! I was warned that they run a little large, so I bought a size that would be the smallest shoe size that I wear, and that was good advice. They are light and fast, a very smooth ride.

Starting over again. Great skates for any adult who is looking to get back into skating again. I have inline skate but never felt comfortable. I'm just not a skater, but learning. Skated with these and feel comfortable with control. One day I will venture back to my inline skates.

I have not been roller skating for thirty years and was a little fearful of skating again. But once I put these skates on, my fears were gone. They are so smooth and comfortable, I just know that it will all come back to me in no time!
