We bought these for our children, who are recreational skaters. They are sturdy, comfortable, and relatively easy to put on and remove. The adjustable size is great for growing kids. However, the insole is made for a size 2, so as the skates are expanded, a gap develops at the front of the inside of the skate where there is no insole. One of our children does not mind the feeling at all. The other one finds this very uncomfortable, so we had to buy separate insoles and cut them down to size 3, 4, and 5 as we expanded the skates (to replace the standard ones that come inside the skates). This is not a major problem, but it is a complication of the expandable sizing feature.
