I bought these wheels for outdoor use and indoor use as well. I referee a local women's roller derby team. The grip is necessary to pass the speed requirements for refs. Just had to learn an alternate way to do a T- stop. very fast wheel. Made me even faster than my 95a stock wheels. Accidentally bought 2 pairs, but passed one on to a fellow referee for the same traction properties.
